Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a thermoplastic plastic polymerized from vinyl chloride monomers, and its molecular chain contains strongly polar chlorine atoms. Pure resin has a decomposition temperature close to its plasticizing temperature and relatively poor mechanical strength, so plasticizers and stabilizers need to be added to improve its processing performance. It possesses characteristics such as high rigidity and good flame retardancy.

Its characteristics include excellent elasticity, abrasion resistance (more than 5 times that of natural rubber), high tensile strength (up to 70 MPa), and low-temperature resistance (down to -50°C). It also possesses oil resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and biocompatibility, making it a viable alternative to PVC in industrial and consumer applications.
